About Us

Based in Paris, France and the United States, The Military Guardian is a platform dedicated to veterans. We tell stories in English and in French, about men and women after they leave active duty in the armed forces or in law enforcement. We want to address practical aspects of daily life : career guidance, financial issues, healthcare, family life, social life, dealing with PTSD, dealing with war wounds... We're also interested in those whose military experience has changed political and social views.

Most people know about servicemen and women only through movies or television shows. Fiction may contain some truth, sometimes large pieces of it, but certainly not all of it.

We are an open platform. Therefore, we welcome stories from all over the world. Our editorial skills enable us to tell your story for you, either in a written article or in video interviews, in English and in French. If your story is already written somewhere (letters, memoirs, diaries), we can review it and post it online on our platform.

Unlike many media or platforms, we choose to take whatever time we need to post a story. Our main concern is to give each of them as much sense as possible. When they deal with a particular episode, we add a piece about the historical context. For instance, Montford Point U.S. Marine - Sgt. Primus Kinlaw's story is accompanied by an article about the Solomon Islands in WWII, where his heroic experience took place.

If you have a story about yourself or a veteran in your family, and you would like to bring it out to the world, please write us at Legacy@militaryguardian.com
